Fr Jude McPeak, OP, was born in Denver but grew up in the foothills of Colorado in a little town called Evergreen. He attended Regis University in Denver, studying English and Theology, when he met the Dominicans when they showed up for Mass one Sunday. Because the novitiate was only a few miles from his school, he started to join the novices for vespers and compline every week. Over the next few years Fr Jude became familiar with the Dominican charism, and finally decided that he wanted to test his calling by entering the novitiate after graduation. So, he entered the novitiate in 2007 and made his first profession a year later. He was ordained a priest in 2014 by Bishop Edward Rice. Before he became the vocation director he served at the Newman Centers at both Purdue and Indiana University. You may have heard about his time at IU when he made international headlines. He has worked in vocations since 2016.
