We are so blessed to announce the simple and solemn professions of our brothers this year! We have four novices who will make their first profession, and five brothers who will make their solemn profession. Given that simple and solemn vows are usually professed at separate Masses, this is an exciting and unique opportunity.
Profession of Simple Vows
Br. Francisco Carreón, O.P.
Br. Elijah Danaher, O.P.
Br. Pier Giorgio Honner, O.P.
Br. John Rickert, O.P.
Each of these young men discerned, with the approval of the prior provincial, to continue their studies in the Dominican Order. After professing their simple vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience to God and the Order for the next three years, they will begin their formal graduate studies at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri with the rest of the brothers in formation.
Profession of Solemn Vows
Each of these student brothers have discerned to profess their solemn vows as a lifelong and permanent commitment to the Order of Preachers. These men will continue their formal studies at the Aquinas Institute of Theology
in St. Louis, Missouri in preparation for priestly ordination.
