TAKE A MOMENT TO
MEET BR. JACOB

What's your favorite prayer?

The Jesus Prayer: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner."  Particularly to fix my mind and heart on Jesus throughout the day.

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

"Warning: May spontaneously begin speaking about the Holy Spirit."

What's your favorite memory from your experience of formation?

Hiking on St. Mary's Glacier in Colorado on New Years Eve during the novitiate.

If you could join any past or current music group which would you pick?

Although Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite, I think I would have joined the Beatles (late 60s, though). I used to look like one of them, love their music, and would have loved to be in the studio with Paul McCartney.

TIPS FROM BR. JACOB:

What's a tip you have for young men discerning priesthood/religious life?

The best way to discern your future is to be a faithful disciple in the present - the Holy Spirit will guide you if you are faithful to God's will and seek intimacy with him.

Any words of encouragement?

At some point, choose. You might just have to make a choice at some point.
